Background :

The company had SEO services outsourced to a local agency, but they were unable to rank the targeted keywords on the first page of search engine results pages. And as a result, their product sales were low. With no hope of achieving the desired results, they approached us to enhance their ranking and increase sales organically.​

Goal:

SERP ranking improvement by identifying the most prospective 60 keywords, building a high-quality backlink profile, and improving page speed, especially for mobile devices​.

Approach:

We analysed the historical data from various sources such as Google Keyword Planner​, Search Trends, Search Console Queries, etc. 

We created new category and subcategory pages to improve the website navigation and user friendliness. Also created keyword-rich URLs for the targeted product pages to improve relevance with the search terms. 

Focused on optimizing Meta tags, Heading Tags, Content, Image Alt Tags, Product Schema, etc.​ 

Google Analytics was already setup but ecommerce tracking was not enabled. We enabled the option, and after the first month, we got the important insights on the ecommerce data, which we were looking for, that helped us to make further optimizations to the website.​

Page Speed improvement was a difficult task, especially for mobile devices, but we improved it by working on the Core Web Vitals parameters.​ 

We started regularly updating blogs on the website, as Google loves fresh and unique content​. 

To improve the current backlink profile, we applied the following strategies;​

  • First, we disavowed the spam backlinks in Google Search Console to avoid getting penalized further.​
  • We set the benchmark for building high-quality do-follow backlinks; DA above 40 and Spam Score less than 5%. ​
  • Audited the competitor’s backlink profile and worked on those to reduce the backlink gap. ​
  • The number of submission were 70 per month, distributed among the various activities as per the package chosen by the client.​

Positive Result

14 out of 40 Generic keywords with high avg. search volume (from 1000 to 9900) are ranking in Top 10 in Google Search Result Page (SERP).​

Organic Traffic Improvements we have achieved in July 2024 in comparison to April 2024:​ New Users - 1,662 to 2,616 (57.40%)​ and Pageviews - 6,813 to 10,159 (49.11%)​
